Precision hardware component processing refers to the processing of some small diameter hardware components.
Mainly including precision turning, mirror grinding, and grinding. Micro turning is performed on a precision lathe using finely ground single crystal diamond turning tools. The cutting thickness is only about 1 micrometer. It is usually used to process high-precision and smooth surface parts, such as spherical mirrors, aspherical mirrors, and flat mirrors made of non-ferrous materials.
When the machining accuracy of precision parts is in nanometers or even atomic units (atomic lattice distance is 0.1-0.2 nanometers), the machining method of ultra precision parts cannot adapt. Special precision machining methods, such as chemical energy, electrochemical energy, thermal energy, or electrical energy, must be used to eliminate the adhesion, binding, or lattice deformation of certain atoms on the surface of the workpiece, in order to achieve the goal of ultra precision machining. This process includes mechanical chemical polishing, ion sputtering and ion implantation, electron beam exposure, laser beam processing, metal evaporation, and molecular beam epitaxy.
